I have used H& R block Forrestfield for the last few years and enjoyed their service. Yesterday we attended with our 2 year old. It was pouring down with rain and cold. Our 2 year old son had an ear infection and we had gone to the chemist before hand to get Panadol. He was grizzly. We walked him around but when we came back in he started crying as I turned to walk out the door to go settle him down. The older lady next to our cubical came over and very vocally told me she can’t hear her client and told me to leave, she walked off and continued to complain about me. My wife apologised and left me to complete our taxes. In hindsight I wish we would have defended ourselves more as she was rude, unprofessional and overreacted. We are not confrontational people, we were highly embarrassed. We were doing our best and being mindful of other people and walking out to settle him. I do understand any child crying can be frustrating but on a scale of 1-10, my son was 3-4 in crying and loudness. She was out of line in the way she spoke and handled the situation. The lady servicing us and in the cubical with us could hear us clearly and was not rude in any way, very understanding. It just wasn’t an issue to her.I think a lot of other mothers would have responded differently than my wife did and not being so kind in their response.H & R Block are not family friendly and should have handled the situation very differently not kicking out my wife and 2 year old son out.
